Rittman Fire & Rescue is one of two divisions within the city’s public safety services and is responsible for providing fire suppression, pre-hospital emergency care and transport, along with other rescue services to the citizens of Rittman and portions of Milton Township.
We work closely with the City’s other public safety service division, the Rittman Police Department. Together, we strive to keep Rittman a safe and healthy place to live, work, and play. It is our goal to provide the community with exceptional safety services using the most effective methods.
Rittman Fire & Rescue is a combination department of part-time and volunteer, paid-per-call members who respond to nearly 1,100 calls for service annually. Rittman Fire & Rescue was formed in 2019 by the merger of the Rittman Fire Department and the City’s third-service EMS department, Rittman EMS.
As a combined agency, Rittman Fire & Rescue is poised to offer all the professional services offered by many career departments — at a tremendous savings to our community. The professionalism and compassion shown by our members is a direct reflection of the men and women who ARE Rittman Fire & Rescue!
